Poroetix has been in the dance scene for a long time as a real crew who makes up their own choreography. They train hard, battle, and Jet Li is on Culture Shock LA my old dance troupe/company. Many of these guys are legit poppers please vote for them to win!!

New Trailer for Bboy vILLn from Underground Flow!!! Sickness:

The Lor Brothers have been homies of mine for a couple years now and I gotta say they are two of the nicest (in dance and personally) bboys i have ever known. They are so true to the art. Practice constantly, always bettering themselves as bboys and community mentors / leaders. They are both actively involved in culture shock la and the Long Beach bboy scene. They battle with the best and prove themselves to be amongs the best not only on and off the floor. I just found a trailer from peeping the Kallusive site that Kyle put up for vILLn, one of the mighty Lor Brotherans.

I’ll only say that this fool can do mad power on top of this mad style. I’ll let the video speak for itself. Enjoy and be inspired.

For now you can click on this bad boy and order a shirt. I know the initial shirt is expensive and I only make like 2 bucks on it haaa. The reason is because it is an American Apparel shirt. Feel free to choose a cheaper shirt (lower quality) if that is more in your budget. If you guys have design ideas for my shirts send em on over!!! Shortly, I will integrate the Zazzle store here on the site. Just gotta figure it out.

This post is really just a link to a cool post by wed designer Macus Neto. I know totally unrelated to dance but it explains the difference between Wordpress and Expression Engine. Since the website began, I have used wordpress and recently my Web Dev Sensei changed it to Expression Engine. This is one of the articles that convinced me to stick with this CMS instead. Many of you may not know but I handle EVERYTHING about Breakdancedvd.com including the website, marketing, distribution, and of course editing the dvds and videos. Its become absolutely overwhelming. So, I thought I would share a little bit of what I research on the daily. Here is the article:

Enjoy or not if you’re totally not into this stuff haaa.

Fortunately, I am surrounded by amazingly talented individuals who have stepped up and help take the load off of just me. It would be soo nice to just focus on making dance related content for all of you as opposed to diverting energies to my continue education of web development. With that said, my smoovement brotheran Victor and Syrenz chica Donna have mostly taken over handling this new site layout / design and implementation. The whole Back End of the site (the part you guys don’t see) is running on Expression Engine and it is pretty robust in it’s abilities. In the coming months, this site will take on some transformations as I continue to find the right balance of buy my dvd with why should you in the first place in addition to Daily / Weekly useable Dance content for all of my viewers. Any feedback would definitely be appreciated.

Here is a great short article on the differences between wordpress and expression engine:

I totally forgot about this video that my Bestest Brohina and I made from last Xmas. It was for our friend Christine’s school project. PR manager Behi Shamsai realized it was more efficient during economic downtimes to purchase a robot santa as opposed to hiring a human santa.
Check it out. Featured in the new LXD Oscar Promo Vid. Did you catch LXD’s kick ass performance at the Oscars last Sunday?

I had the opportunity to do a quick video to help promote LXD’s Oscar performance this last Sunday. If you didn’t catch it keep an eye out for it as itwazzz quite amazing. For this baby, they had painted Chadd gold by the time I arrived and there wasn’t enough paint for my white bod, so I got to play the janitor—YAY! haa. It was fun as always playing around on camera. I know, I know, I should win an oscar for my performance as “Bobby” the janitor in this vid! ENJOY the maddness that is the chaddness, my brobotic robotic sensei:

So the other day I wrote this long blog entry about my amazing experience at Vibe 15. I went to save it forgetting to copy my entry JUST IN CASE and sure enough my OWN CMS logged me out and I lost it all. So I’ll attempt to remember what I originally wrote. First, I was there repping Kallusive and hosting a behind the scenes look at vibe. Be sure to peep the site in coming weeks for the vid. Second, let me state, the level of commercial hip hop choreo has increased to a ridiculous magnitude. The lyric matching musicality and dynamic movements are amazing to watch, especially when squads of 30 to 60 are performing the SAME movements. Mike Song’s piece from his new “family-gathering,” Anbu Black Ops was my personal favorite:

I loved choreo cookies, Kaba Modern Legacy and this piece by Unity is just beautiful, in addition to being a nice break from all the choreo choreo choreo.

As a side note, I do wanna say that I hope I can assist in being a bridge for the very large gap that exist between Street Dancers and Choreo Dancers. It always blows my mind how this kids can move sooo well doing choreo but then when you tell them to just dance, the task proves quite difficult. I also have to say that watching this “bubble” of a dance community in Irvine makes me quite envious of how it must be to have a college experience full of a supportive dance community. I didn’t have that in ATL Shawty but it makes me thankful that I found Totem and Joy my two bboyin sensei’s. Definitely grateful that I at least experienced the community that Totem built even if now where near the size of the dance bubble in So Cal.

Congrats to Choreo Cookies, Common Ground, and Team Millenia, for placing 1st,2nd,3rd. Also, remember to check out Kallusive.com in the next couple weeks for the behind the scenes look at vibe hosted by yours truly.
