Thanks so much for visiting Breakdancedvd.com. Originally developed as a distribution outlet for dance instructionals, this site is evolving into an online dance community. A place where people who are experienced dancers to people who think they have two left feet can come and learn dance. By dance, I mean all styles of street dance. Everything under the mainstream umbrella of Breakdance and "poplock". This includes, Breaking, Wacking, Punking, Locking (cambellocking), Popping, House, Atl Crank, New Jack Swing (90s party dances), and of course basic basic Dance.
Currently, the only instructional video I have completed is Top 20 Breakdance Moves. This dvd has ten specific breakdance moves and ten specific hip hop moves. As my initial video release, I wanted to begin with a dvd that covered some of the general public's favorite dance moves. A video that was unlike any other. Something FUN!
Dance is driven by music and we are currently going through a lack of warm, soulful, well produced, and above all happy music, at least within the mainstream of radio play. If the music is angry and the tones are depressed in nature then this will easily translate into how people dance.
The idea behind Breakdancedvd's slogan "breakdance with a smile," is to send a message to those who are interested in dance. A message that says, "Hey! It IS ok to smile." Acting hard is not required to dance well. I also want to send a message to those already amazingly talented dancers who feel it is necessary to act "rough and tough" when they dance that simply says, "lighten up." Just a small reminder for people that, "you're supposed to be having fun."
Dance is just that, fun. It is a creative outlet. A form of expression that you and only you can do the way you do it. Of course, there are well defined fundamentals of street dance and having studied these from a pool of amazing dancers, I wish to share them with the you.
